HAVEN is a television show that has been shooting in the South Shore (the best shore, what-what) of Nova Scotia for the past 4 months, and in that time, I’ve been auditioning for parts, trying to snag a role in this really fun sci-fi show.
The series’ synopsis…
A shrewd FBI agent with a lost past who arrives in the small town of Haven, Maine, to solve the murder of a local ex-con only to discover that the curious enclave is a longtime refuge for people with supernatural powers that holds a lot of secrets, including to her own past.
Well, I finally managed to land myself a part, in episode 12 of HAVEN as Karl. That’s just about all I can say, other than I had a beefy scene with the very talented Eric Balfour, who I may or may not have called “Eddie Belfour” numerous times (showing my Canadian roots)…
The show airs in Canada Monday nights on Showcase at 11pm Atlantic Time. Check it out, the show really is a lot of fun; it has been great for the local film industry, and especially local actors who being given a wonderful opportunity to work on something that’s (A) very interesting, and (B) getting them lots of exposure. Thumbs up!
Missed a few episodes or want to catch up? Fret not! Showcase.ca has all of the episodes aired to date available for streaming on their website. Click here to be magically (by magic I mean internet) transported to the town of HAVEN.
I’ll do some more internet-blawging when I know when my episode will air (I use the term “my” loosely). Stay tune-d.
