Glen Matthews is an award-winning filmmaker specializing in short form comedic content. He was an actor for nearly a decade before shifting his focus solely to filmmaking.
His first short, “Room Service”, was a finalist for CBC’s national competition, Short Film Faceoff. His most recent, “Saving Face”, was selected by Telefilm Canada to play at Not Short on Talent, an international showcase held annually in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Most recently, Matthews wrote & directed his first nationally televised commercial for Curling Canada’s “Roar of the Rings“.
Through 2017, he wrote, directed & edited four personal projects: “Grave Concerns”, a comedy about gravediggers in the Wild West, “Space Monkey Origins”, a fictional origin story for the professional wrestler, The Space Monkey, “White Savior” a racially charged one-minute film, and “Red Bull 30 Years” a 30-second tribute to Red Bull’s 30 years in business.
Heading into 2018, Glen is writing his first feature film and hoping to continue creating content that exists nowhere else.
