I wanted to make sure that The Academy wasn’t going to give me one of those surprise Oscars for 2012’s ROLLER TOWN before I posted a clip from Picnicface’s feature film, but alas they gave an award to that hack, Christoph Waltz, instead.

For now, us Canadian chumps will have to wait a bit longer to consume the entire film, unlike our neighbours down south who can watch it on Netflix & iTunes. Keep an eye on http://rollertownthemovie.com and the Picnicface FB page for more info!

I hope you’re wearing your laughing pants, because Cineplex has the premiere of the ROLLER TOWN trailer, available for your viewing right here!

Picnicface’s debut feature-film has been making the festival rounds (it’ll be playing Montreal’s Fantasia Fest on July 29th) for close to a year now, and will be hitting cinemas nationwide on September 21st!

But seriously, please don’t watch this film without your laughing pants on. You’re going to really make a mess.

Update – July 30th, 2012: The first review from Fantasia Fest has just come in, and Twitch Film says “Damn. Roller Town is a funny, funny movie.” Read full review @ http://twitchfilm.com/reviews/2012/07/fantasia-2012-roller-town-rolls-out-non-stop-funky-hilarity

Update – August 8th, 2012: Picnicface just released yet another trailer for ROLLER TOWN:

The film will be available on iTunes and Digital on Demand in the United States o’ America on August 14th, and in Canadian theatres on September 21st!

Picnicface’s feature film ROLLER TOWN, wherein I do that acting thing I do, is having a screening in Halifax on Wednesday, June 6th at Park Lane.

But Glen, you ask “I’ve already seen ROLLER TOWN at the Atlantic Film Festival, or some other film festival, why would I want to see it again? Oh also, you were really, really good in it, too! Like, so good!”

Firstly, thank you. Secondly, this is the first public screening of the Director’s Cut, which I know in some cases doesn’t mean much at all, but in this one it does. I’ve seen both cuts, and this one gets the thumbs up from me.

Here’s the link to the Facebook event page for those of you who are into that kind of thing: https://www.facebook.com/events/391202120931482/

Lastly, Picnicface just had their television show cancelled. I really don’t think they can handle you not showing up to their movie. /GUILT.exe

My smug mug will be gracing screens in Park City, Utah once again this year as Picnicface’s ROLLER TOWN has been accepted to the 2012 Slamdance Film Festival!

Running during Sundance, Slamdance (from January 20th to the 26th) was launched as a counter-movement to the prestigious film festival, offering up the best in alternative filmmaking from independent filmmakers from around the globe.

That is where Andy Bush‘s ROLLER TOWN, wherein I play Mark Little‘s Father, “Rick” (yes, you read that correctly), will have it’s stateside premiere (it played the Atlantic Film Festival this past September) this January. That was a terribly constructed sentence and I apologize for that.

Side-note: Season one of Picnicface’s sketch comedy show, properly titled PICNICFACE, concludes tonight with an episode about dreams. 11:30 PM AST on The Comedy Network.

Picnicface’s highly anticipated feature film, ROLLER TOWN will kick down the doors to start off the 31st Annual Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax next month! The film stars Mark Little, Kayle Lorette, George Basil, them Picnicface folks, as well as an appearance by myself (see headband above).

Picnicface is undoubtedly on all sorts o’ fire with their upcoming television series also set to debut August 31st on The Comedy Network (sneak preview episode – click here for more info).

September 15th, prepare yourself for the lulz.

Stay tuned to AtlanticFilm.com for ticketing and scheduling info!

Filmmaker/Haligonian/stand-up-comedian/actor/fellow-blogger Pardis Parker (pardisparker.com) has released his new short film, TWO MEN, TWO COWS, TWO GUNS to the internet after a lengthy stint on the film festival circuit.

I had nothing to do with the film whatsoever, I just wanted to share this fun short flick from a fellow Haligonian blogger. Blog solidarity. Pardis’ previous short film AFGHAN (Click here to watch), starring himself & Picnicface’s Mark Little, remains one of my favourite short films ever produced in the Maritimes.

For now, enjoy this new offering from Parker starring the awesome talents of John Dunsworth, Sherry Smith and Levi MacDougall

I am mondo-excited to announce today that I have been cast in a Principal role in Picnicface’s upcoming feature film, ROLLER TOWN! The film is written by P-face members Mark Little, Scott Vrooman and Andy Bush (who is also directing the damn thing).

As is always the case, that’s about all of the information that I can fork over at this time.

Make sure to stay tuned to here or http://www.RollerTownTheMovie.com for updates as they come along. Shooting starts Monday!

Not familiar with Picnicface? Check out one of my favourite sketches of theirs, Midlife Crisis (featuring Mark Little & Cheryl Hann)..
